I cannot put into words to do justice to express how much I loved this trilogy. You become enveloped and crave more as Christian and Ana did for one another. As I see the buzz of the 50 Shades movie potential I have read people’s desires for casting and sometimes I sit back and think Seriously?!?! But I guess we all invision our own faces for each perfect character in the series. My personal faces for the leads were the new comer Tyler Hoechlin (MTV’s Teen Wolf) as Christian, so much so he’s the screensaver on my phone and I think about Christian every time I see his face. For Ana, I pictured Ashley Greene (Twilight saga) especially her now with her long chestnut trusses that are the exact length of Ana’s. She’s beutiful in both a girl-net-door way and can just as easily pull off the seductive, sultry as well. But as I mentioned before everyone sets their own character likenesses and with the derscriptions and ages of the characters in your series they seemed to be the perfect fit in my mind.
I look forward to your future works and will be a life-long fan. I appreciate your steadfast determination to be involved in a movie adaption so that your vision and masterpiece doesn’t get turned into someone else’s “less than complimentary” adaption.
Thank you again for sharing with us this amazing trilogy and our new love for all of these characters. God Bless you and your continued success.

I just wanted to tell you that your fifty shades of grey books were by far the best 3 books I have ever read!! I hope you will write some more books soon because I’m having fifty withdraws. It’s s story that you wish never ended. I love them and hope to see more soon. Thank you!!!!!!!!!

  3. avatar kerush says:

loved the books..reading them again. Just cant get enough. I see myself in Ana in so many ways. she was very easy to identify with. I really hope you are working on number 4,5,6… I want to see more of Christian’s perspective. the third book only gives us a little insight. I want to know what he did when Ana left the first time after the oyster dinner and definately after the BIG LEAVE that changed him completely

  4. avatar sasspy says:

serioulsy amazing addictive books, thank you for bringing them to my life, I hope there will be more from Mr & Mrs Grey. Can’t settle to another book now, i’m left hanging for more….. oh well guess i will read them again

  6. avatar izzy says:

I read all three in 3 1/2 days…I went without sleep saying ‘just one more chapter…’. All finished & “wanting more”. I really want to read Christian’s viewpoint after being treated to a taste of it at the end of Freed. Please turn them loose, there are several things Christian kept to himself I’m dying to find out!

  7. avatar MischiefMel says:

E.L. James. You could write 50 of your 50 shades books are they would be flying off the shelves! I rarely ever read novels, and certainly not non-fiction! I fell in love with your books. I love your descriptive writing and the characters..amazing!! I would LOVE to know where you got your ideas from..did you research? Is anything from persoanl experience??!! Congrats on your success and keep writing!!

    Sincerely,Melissa. Ontario,Canada

  8. avatar jenfri76 says:

Please keep writing…these books were PERFECTION!!!!!!

  9. avatar carolinasun says:

I absolutely loved all 3! I especially loved the second book where she wasn’t a wimp and asking all those questions. Plus Christian came out of his mask. Please write the next triology….I am so sad it ended. Excellent writing.

  10. avatar eastjrzj says:

Yes please write more on these books. I would love to read from Christian’s point of view, but I wouls also love to read more about there life too and what happens. I am so sad the books have ended, but I will be reading them again. I feel at loss because they have ended and I didn’t want it to. I was so into the books. You are a wonderful writer. I hope you come out with a book 4 soon. I will be buying more of your books. I can’t wait to see the movie when it comes out and can’t wait to see who the lead cast it.

  11. avatar AmandaMrzk says:

I really loved all these books…I was wondering if there would ever be a chance of actually releasing a cd or a spot to download the music from the books, I would definatly buy them

  12. avatar cnm0118 says:

I was curious to know if the trilogy was gonna be made into 3 movies instead of 1??

  13. avatar cohiba96 says:

I am going through withdrawl now that I have finished all three books and passed them along to be read by another person. I will definitely read them again when they come back as I feel like I’ve lost two of my friends right now. I am obsessed with this story and am sitting now with nothing to do after reading these books in just a couple days. I have scoured this website, listened to the soundtrack on YouTube and looked at all the candidates mentioned for the possible movie. I am still craving more. I have ordered the audio books to be able to listen to them while I’m driving. YES – I have FIFTY SHADES bad …..

  14. avatar BeaTan says:

Thank you! Thank you E L James for one of the best read ever. Please don’t make us wait too long for the fourth book.

  15. avatar kmbriseno says:

  17. avatar angelaw says:

I love these books…I couldn’t put them down once I started reading. Please continue on with Christians point of view. I’m so intrigued! Please, Please, Please!!! Thank you so much for writing these books.

  18. avatar jomarie says:

OMG they are the best books I have ever read, I lost myself in them imagining myself with Mr Grey I didn’t want them to end… Please continue with more books with Mr & Mrs Grey so we can see how there life continues with there children PLEASE

  19. avatar hfloin says:

Loved all three of the books. I couldn’t put them down. I hope there are going to be more books to come. Would love to read more about the Greys….could never get enough of Ana and Christian and his twitchy palm :)

  20. avatar AAK says:

I absolutely could not put these books down. It took me less then 5 days to read them. I hope theres more to come!

  21. avatar crazyforgrey says:

I am obsessed with the trilogy!! I want more of Christian and Ana. I read the books in a week and I am thinking of reading them again. I have never read a book that has kept me so hooked. Thank you!!!!!

  22. avatar kissane5 says:

What a gift you have given to so many to give them excitement, pleasure giggles, hopes and desires to so many. As I have read these books twice now and still I could read them over and over again because they have brought me back to a place in life where I feel young, hopeful, desirable and passionable. A think this is a place so many of us drift off to when we get use to our lives of be married and having kids we lose touch with our sexuality our deires or the fact that as women we still have our sexual desires even though we are older and have kids “We are not dead as I told my husband.” So many people feel that these books are about porn no they are about true love romance, passion, desires, fantasies, we are not in a glass bubble and it does not make us bad to feel or read these things this is true life. Maybe if we truely believed or relished in these passions to keep our marriages and relationships going they would stay together and others would not venture out to others. I can only hope that you will write more and bring out the futrue Anna and Christen and the family and friends that they have to show that life does not end when we have kids and grow older that life is still filled with passion and desires and needs in our lives that we all need as men and women. “We are only human” Bring it On!!!!

  23. avatar cartho2 says:

OMG these books are absolutely intriguing! Read of them in 4 days! As of what others have said, you just have to write these books in Christians point of view. With reading these books, you become the story and you don’t want the story to end. I wish it didnt end as it did. I want to know more of how they lived and continued to grow in their relationship. PLEASE PLEASE!

  24. avatar apfeil says:

I love these books! I wish they would not have ended! I read all three of them in a week and wanted more! I fell in love with all of it! Please continue their love story!!!!! Hope you write more on others also! Thank you for such amazing books!

  25. avatar kimc123 says:

I am in the middle of book 2 and omg!!! i put myself in Ana’s place because i have been down an almost simular road…it is breathe taking!!! if i could only find my Mr. Grey!!!

  26. avatar Christina says:

Thank you E L James for writing such an amazing trilogy. I can not wait to finish all the books! :) And on that note… my input for Christian Grey would be Jesse Pelvelka!! He is smoldering!! :) Although Ian Somerhalder is one of my favorite men, I dont think he would take on such a role. (Even though he would be an AMAZING Christian!)

  27. avatar CaseyRossiter says:

Please, please, please write a fourth fifty shades! I’m dying inside! I won’t to know what happens next! I loved this book so much! I could not leave it alone! I’ve lost loads of sleep because it keeps me wanting more… Please write another one! Keep adding the drama in too:) I liked when Ana risked her own life to save Mia and Christian stayed in the hospital! This drama keeps me hooked more and I want MORE! I’m hungry for more! You are such a talented woman! These are without a doubt the best books I’ve ever read! Please bring out an addition asap! I’m not really interested in Christian’s side of the story, I need the next dramatic parts of their lives!

  28. avatar Eager for more says:

I have read the trilogy in 4 days can’t beleive how much I loved the story. Please go back and write through Ana’s pregnancy to Ted’s 2nd birthday and fill in the blanks. how did they deal with their relationship during a pregnancy and as Ana’s career advanced.
Until then I will have to keep re reading as it makes me feel good and desiring a R8.

  29. avatar Jaybru_79 says:

I am not a big reader and i read these books in a week and i really hate to read but once i got started i couldnt stop. I have only found a few books that have kept me interested in reading. Both my husband and my mother are encouraging me to read more. These books have overtaken me. I loved the way you wrote them. I felt close to the charaters and I cant stop talking about these books I have told several people to read them. I want more of Christian and Ana and the life they will have together with babies. I want to know more about Christians thoughs as he was growing up and how he came to love Ana. I just want more. Please write more about them. I beleive these books would make an Awesome movie also. Cant wait to see what other books you come out with. Please hurry

  30. avatar WestCoastGurl11 says:

There are so many that think Ian Somerhalder would be a good Mr. Grey and I would have to agree. He would be an Excellent choice. My thoughts on Ana, I can see Mila Kunis in that role. She has the dark hair and the big eyes. The books were GREAT! I read them all under a week and will read them again and maybe not as quickly.

  31. avatar vixxie says:

MZ james you def have to make more of this storyline .. i have ben done them for more than few days i am lost and depressed and can not get the book out of my head.. Please Please make more of this story line i want more!!!!I don’t read much at all but this book consumed me and was absolutly amazing and i am so lost… i have never felt this way over a book.. i must be pathetic lol

  32. avatar fiftyshadesofobsessed says:

OMG i loved these books! I lent them to some of the girls at my work. They are just as obsessed as i am! LOL. I want more. I need more. LOL. I want to know more from Christians point of view. I also want to know more about their future together with their kids and how their relationship continues to grow. We need more insight on Christian! I was very sad that the wedding was pretty much skipped over. This could have been 4 books. I think the wedding was a crucial part that was left out. I didnt like the mini flash backs that she had. I wanted to enjoy Ana planning her dream wedding that Christian could definately afford. LOL. Sad about that, but still in love with Fifty Shades. We need more!!!

If you come to the Orlando area, i would love for you to sign all of my books.

    sincerely,

    Melissa

  33. avatar cookie30uk says:

Absolutely love all three books! Read them twice. Love Christian Grey. Can’t wait for more books from you.

  34. avatar catlaughs says:

Thank you. Like the others I read all the books in under a week. Which is very strange because I am not a person who has ever read a complete book for pleasure. I was so involved with the books it brought every emotion out of me. It was like there was a movie in head and I was the only one granted access. I laughed, cried, smiled, squirmed. I felt every feeling that Ana was feeling. When I finished the last book today, I was consumed with over powering sadness. Longing for more and not sure if there will be more. I could read the books over and over from Mr. Grey’s point of view. I’m in love with them.

Sadly, during the last week while I was reading the books I was so involved with them, all I did was read and work. I barely slept, neglected my partner and barely ate. The effects took their toll yesterday while I was at work I lost all my strenght and my body was shutting down on me. I sat down and in my head I heard Mr. Grey ask me if I ate and I realized that I had unknowlingly starved my self over the past 4 days. I’m so shocked that I would forget to eat, not wanting to put any of the books down. It’s amazing how your story of two people has effected me. I am well and I am truely changed by your writing. Thank you from the bottom of my soul.

    Cat

  35. avatar vixxie says:

These books were so amazing.. plz continue them.. let the story go on plz… i am so lost now that i am done reading them.

  36. avatar CMM0507 says:

Absolutely fell in love with this Trilogy. All I did was read one book after another. I couldn’t go without thinking what was going to happen next. I really hope you do another set from Christian point of view and the after part of the marriage and kids. Thanks for such an awesome book.

  37. avatar donnajones1974 says:

Will u be coming to south Wales uk your books here has gone crazy everyone cannot get enough of mr grey :)

  38. avatar pinky says:

Thank you for these books, I wasn’t going to read them, as everyone else was…a friend told me that I’d enjoy them since I LOVED reading the Claiming for Sleeping Beauty….The first book was good, in the middle of the 1st, I figured something had to happen to Christian in his younger years for him to be the way he is. My heart broke at the end of the 1st book, (I understand why she did what she did) and I CRIED thru the 2nd, and loved it all till the end. I just started t he 3rd, and I can’t put it down.
Thank you for writing a love story that is different. I don’t read those “other love stories”, with the overly beautify men and woman on the cover. I married and LOVE LOVE my fifty shades, he has many emotionally and physical scars from his child hood, I wouldn’t have him any other way. I’ve talked with other woman about the books, and I can’t see how they HATE Christen, and Ana. I understand Christen and his pain, and completely understand how and why Ana loves him. I don’t know if I will see the movie, I……just don’t want it to be a movie. I think, you understand the book more if you read with an open mind, who Christen is, why he is who he is, why he loves Ana, and what drives him. You understand Ana, and why she loves him….I don’t think you should write more about them or what they’re doing. I know I’m not finished the 3rd book, but I KNOW I will enjoy the ending and be happy with it.
Thank you again for these books, and the GREAT LOVE story, it has made me LOVE my fifty shades EVEN MORE (I’ve told him so) and hope more people take the time to understand and love others with issues.
    Thank you

  40. avatar ScarletBeauty88 says:

Will you be coming to Los Angeles or San Diego? I would love to shake hands with you! This is by far the best trilogy I have read! Your so creative and so in tune with writing in depth about a man and woman starting an unusual relationship; compared to the traditional relationships written in other books. Thank you for sharing this with the world!

    Respectfully Sent,

    Marilyn

  41. avatar Chellie says:

I so loved these books, I know the movie is up for dicussion but, I think you should consider Ian Somerholer (as Christen Grey) and Alexis Bledel ( as Ana) Angelina jolie ( As Mrs. Robinson) just my thoughts lol.

    • avatar kerush says:

Angelina Jolie…good thinking. she will be perfect for that role. I have the same emotion towards her the same way Ana did towards mrs robinson

  42. avatar monharris says:

Love these books!!! I hope the movies can do them justice!!

  43. avatar iamhickey says:

I too am not one to sit and read a book. Being a mom of five I honestly can’t remember the last time I sat and read a book with so much excitement . I can wait until the story continues and what your other works have to offer. Such a great read. I’ve just finished the last book and sad that I’m done.

  44. avatar fortheloveofgray says:

I started ready the first book last Thursday and finished the third book last night. I want “more”. I would love to read Gray’s point of view. I could not put the books down. I could read them again and again. You are a fantastic writer. I know everyone has put their input in for the movie roles. I definately had Joe Manganiello of (True Blood) as Christian. He has brown eyes, but easily made grey and he is completely gorgeous at 6’5. I have envisioned Ashley Greene (Twilight) as Anastasia. She is 5’5. I cannot imagine him walking into a room and not having every women in the room simultaneously cross their legs and blush. Please keep writing. I really do want to know more. With the way you write, I could read about them forever.

  46. avatar nratchet says:

Would love to hear more about Mia and Ethan as well as Kate and Elliot. You have done such a good job with these characters PLEASE give us more! I loved being a part of their lives!!!!!

  47. avatar shianaracl says:

This book has changed my whole perspective of relationships. Even without all the sexual stuff the story is amazing. The journey the characters take is phenomenal. I would love it if you retold the story in Christian’s voice. It would be amazing to see things from his perspective.

  48. avatar Angelica says:

I have just finished reading all three books and I was crying in the end. I think it was because the love story was ending and I was already missing the characters. These books have made such an impact in my life. I have fallen in love with the characters and with your writing. Your books have given me such happiness and excitement. Thank you for writing so beautifully and so easy to understand. I really have no words to express my heartfelt “Thank you” to E L James. Please consider continuing their love story. I would love to know what was the grandparents’ reaction to their first grandchild and also how the delivery went with the baby girl. I feel these characters have become a part of my life. I am a true fan of your work and will definitely buy more of your books in the future. I hope the next book comes soon. Hugs, A.L.

    • avatar kissane5 says:

I feel for your compassion to the triology it was such a impact and the characters became alive. Go back and read the books again it even feels as if you have never read the books before and you can not put the books down. I do have to say the first book is the best of them all but I know that in due time I will read them again because the thrill just excites me and it makes me feel like a young women again in love all over again.

  49. avatar Taty says:

Thanks for the wonderful books, I read them in a week, it was amazing I fall in love with the story…please can you let us know if you are going to continue the part of meeting fifty shades…It would be amazing if we can get a book from Christian Grey perspective. Thank you again and take that into consideration please…:)
