Please consider having the book signing in Chicago! I loved the books and the happy ending. =)

  2. avatar shelby5 says:

I loved reading the trilogy & am reading them again. I felt so involved in the story, I laughed & cried throughout these books. I hope you come to Macon or Atlanta Georgia for a book signing, I would love to meet you & have you sign my book. I’m so looking forward to more of your books & I agree with those who said a continued storyline from Christian’s perspective would be awesome. I also think Ian Somerhalder would make a great Christian for the movie.

  3. avatar fanoffifty says:

I haven’t read a book ever! After borrowing the first two books from a friend, I decided to read… I couldn’t stop the read, I was addicted! I then went and purchased the third book. I read all three books in 9 days!!! What a fabulous story. I think everyone truly wishes for a Christian!

  4. avatar stacypan says:

I don’t think a sequel must necessary involve Christian and Ana having affairs. That would seem inconsistent. They are soul mates. But a sequel could involve some danger Christian’s business poses for his family. Perhaps the previous owner of a company he purchased and destroyed wants revenge and seeks to harm Ana. Or kipnap he and the children for ransom. Could happen. Christian has involvement in Sudan. On another note, when reading the book, I never detected this was written by a non-American. In my opinion, all of the dialogue fit perfectly. Even Christian’s angry rants! I never like it was an English person trying to sound like a sterotypical American.

  5. avatar stacypan says:

There is nothing original I can say that hasn’t already been echoed by everyone on this site. So, please forgive me for repeating. I LOVE THESE BOOKS!! I have NEVER read anything I joined as much. Maybe the John Grisham books come close, but that’s it. I am also obsessed with the Fifty Shades trilogy. I wanted to finish the books, then again I didn’t. I didn’t want it to be over. So, I finished the final book on late Friday night (Saturday morning) and started re-reading on Sunday night. I was missing Christian Grey. :) Please write more! I would love to hear more about Ana and Christian life as parents.

  6. avatar jean47 says:

I have been re reading the 3 books over and over since May and it is now AUGUST. I can’t put these books down. I love Ana and Christian. I would like to see a movie and see Ryan Gosling, he is who I thought of all through the books…but perhaps unknown actors would be the best.

I also wouldn’t want a new book that considers either Ana or Christian cheating…that would be horrible. We want them to stay committed, that is what is so special about this couple.

I am eagerly awaiting the Christian POV books and I certainly hope they are in the works.

I would like more in depth writing on Elliot/Kate and Mia/Ethan…I also agree that HBO may be the way to go, especially having the books on going…that way I will continue to get my fix of Christian and Ana.

  7. avatar Chrisy09ny says:

Will you be coming to Charleston SC??
I love the books I have read all 3. I am now on my second time reading them.

  8. avatar Erica says:

These books are amazing. I’ve read these books and reread them and will continue to do so. After I finished them, I went on a search for something similar and came across Bared To you by Sylvia Day only to be very disappointed as I feel like her book is a plagiarized version of The Fifty Shades books with a few things changed around. I’ve discontinued my search for another book like the Fifty Shades books, because it’s simple, there aren’t any. I sincerely hope the saga of Christian and Ana are continued because simply put… I love those people. :)

  9. avatar pia1691 says:

    I want more.

  10. avatar Rayne Storm says:

” That’s all….for now.” What? Is there more or isn’t there? I would love to read the books from his perspective. It’s almost cruel to leave us guessing…almost. Thank you for the journey!

  11. avatar naylsworth says:

Love all of Fifty Shades!! The actor that should play Christian is Henry Cavill – (the new Superman). He is perfect!!

  12. avatar cutemars81 says:

I am in love with all three books! I cannot remember the time when I read a trilogy in a short time in a very long time. It was a mind blowing experience to just feel as though I’m Anastasia Steele being seduced by an utterly beautiful, rich and powerful named Christian Grey. I get tingles when I remember all stuff they have done in the playroom. I have heard that the Fifty Shades of Grey will be transformed into a movie. I really hope that it would be as wonderful as the books, then again the original version is always the best I think. :)

  13. avatar cutemars81 says:

I am completely and utterly in love with the books. I have never read a trilogy in under three weeks in such a long time. I would basically take the book with me everywhere and I would get strangers to talk to me and ask me questions regarding the book. It has been a mind-blowing experience and I would have you to thank E.L. James!

  14. avatar MrsDmb63 says:

I loves th books and I’m reading all of them, they spoke to my soul Christian and Ana. I wish I had more. Very sad It came to a end!

  15. avatar mmeurer says:

Until now I would have said that I am not much of a reader but your books have completely taken over my free time. I have had the trilogy for two weeks now and I am reading them for the third time. I have begun purchasing all of the songs mentioned in the book, it really does add to the reading experience, some more than others. Each time I read something that I don’t remember having read before. As with some of the other people, I am concerned about the upcoming movie. I have a very clear picture of Christian and Ana in my head and I’m afraid that the people chosen to portray them will not live up to my expectations. I have also been trying to figure out how a standard length movie can be done and still give the viewer the feelings and experiences accurately without losing parts of the story. I also think that having a book series out from Christian’s point of view, BEFORE the movie is put out is critical. I feel like in order to have the movie turn out well and keeping with the story, it will have to be a pretty long movie and how will it be rated? Taking out too much of the provocative and sexual pieces will surely change the story and I’m pretty that would be devistating for the film and the people who love your books. :(

    • avatar Rayne Storm says:

I agree with all of the above. Especially the Christian perspective books part.

    • avatar LadyT says:

I do agree with you but after reading the “FAQ”, I am not expecting any book/s from Christian perspective anytime soon. E L says she has more stories to tell. I am disappointed. Guess I’ll continue re-reading the Fifty Shades Trilogy until……..A single movie will not do justice to this wonderful book.

  16. avatar LadyTeamer says:

oh yippie u r coming to Houston. excellent. I do hope I can be off work that day. I look forward to meeting u.

  17. avatar dheroes says:

AHHH WHY CAN’T YOU COME TO ATLANTAAAAAAA!??

  18. avatar gypsy2283 says:

I read the trilogy eleven (11) times. I have visited all the known and some of the unknown locations in Seattle. The pictures of Escala and the Heathman Hotel in Portland are wonderful. What do I have to do to have my books signed by EL James on the East Coast. Please come to any part of Florida and I will come to your book signing. Thank you so much, in advance.

  19. avatar rold2003 says:

I’m so excited to write to you I can’t even stand it! I’m so glad to read that I’m not the only one that’s reading the trilogy twice. I read the three books in 5 days. I couldn’t put them down and started reading them again. My husbands laughs when he sees I’m reading it again! I loved him before, I love him more now! Thank you for a wonderful love story that can address intimacy in a way nobody has done before! Can’t wait to read your next book!! XO

  20. avatar JulieO says:

any chance of squeezing in a book signing stop in Las Vegas, Nevada? I would be happy to host you at the library where I work…

  21. avatar debbiedo says:

Please come south!!! We southern girls adore these books!!!

  22. avatar pwstull says:

Ladies get the audiobooks for your hubby they are special. HBO series is the only way this beautiful tender lover story will receive justice.

  23. avatar L8RS says:

Going on my 4th round with the books! So worth it. My husband even loves them & he hasn’t even read them. Since we live in Portland, we’re having so much fun going to all the places Christian & Ana go in the books. Last week for our anniversary he took me to the Heathman Hotel, and of course I wore my “Later’s Baby” shirt he bought me. The looks I got were priceless!!!! Can’t wait till you get here in September!

  24. avatar GSDlover says:

I’m not an avid reader but when I picked up Fifty Shades of Gray a few weeks ago I was hooked! I just finished reading the 3rd book today. I feel lost! I want MORE!!! MORE!!! MORE!!! So many unanswered questions, what happens to Hyde? What does Christian do to Linc? Please write more!! I’m lost without them!! I’m going to miss spending my evenings with Christian and Ana :-(

  25. avatar mangogirlie66 says:

I’ve read the series twice now-back to back! I’ve never been so obsessed about a book. I’d take it into the kitchen with me while I’m cooking, and read it every spare second I had because i couldn’t bear to put it down. Now i want to read it all over again!! Please please please write it from Christian’s point of view. I loved the series wholeheartedly, but can’t stop thinking about the teaser you put at the end of Fifty Shades Freed. It was amazing! I’d pay good money to read it, and I’m sure I’m not the only one!!! I’ve become so attached to the characters and their world, I have to know more!!!

  26. avatar daelia says:

I just want to say the books ended up being an absolutely delightful surprise., much more than I expected. I am in love with both characters and can appreciate where Ana is coming from. Face it ladies, we all like a man in control…it ‘s the ultimate turn on:)

  27. avatar basbalmax2 says:

Absolutely love these books. I have never read a book more than twice and now I have read this trilogy four times in less than a month. The relationship is breathtaking. Hearts and flowers! Thank you for writing these.

  28. avatar LadyT says:

After reading several posts, I must say to you E.L its only fair for you to give us more of Christian and Ana…especially from Christian’s perspective. I have already imagined Christian going back on his word and reconnecting with Eleana one last time and Ana being with Jose just to see what she missed out on. I am also looking forward to the movie, even though I feel it will not be as good as your books. Please come to Tampa and give us at least one more. God Bless.

    • avatar Erica says:

Oh, I’d love to read Christian’s perspective, but sincerely hope he doesn’t run back to Elena, nor Ana to run to Jose. That breaks my heart thinking about it.

  29. avatar MamalDiane says:

I to would love another trilogy from Christain’s point of view. Not really crazy about a movie. I love the images in my mind. Glad to know I’m not the only one rereading these books. Best books I’ve read in years if not ever! Thanks for writing them. And thanks to my daughter for telling me about them lol

  30. avatar anderson8187 says:

P.S. Salt Lake City, UT would be greatly appreciated in having you hear. Would love to meet you and have a signed copy of your books.

  31. avatar anderson8187 says:

I wanted to let you know that I love the books. I just started reading them this week. My marriage was on the rocks and a friend of mine told me about the book. I had heard so much negativity about the story that I was liary about reading it. My husband pushed me to start reading it and I couldn’t put the book down. It saved my marriage!! This book opened me up about myself and my sexual self. My husband went to work this week complaining that he was exhausted and he felt like a newlywed all over again. I love being able to examine him while he is sleeping and think of all the good he has brought into my life. I have told him bits and pieces of the story and now he is intrigued to start reading the trilogy too. I love all the depth that is also under the story line. I have been so emotionally envolved in the story that after reading the first book I too was torn and heartbroken. I couldn’t leave myself off that way so I had to read the sample of 50 shades darker before I could go to sleep that night or I wouldn’t have slept. Thank you for being such an in depth author and grabbing your readers into the story. I’m so glad that I have my Christian Grey!! Thank you so much for writing these stories and helping us save our marriage! I hope there is more to this story then what you have already wrote.

  36. avatar betsy503 says:

I am thrilled I will be meeting you in Portland in September. I will be wearing my Laters Baby tee shirt and bringing a group of my girl friends!!

  37. avatar Jordan says:

I’m so in love with your books!! I have to keep reminding myself that a brilliant author made up this story, I’m so in love with the characters, the plot, and everything else. Incredible that it’s always on mind, as if I was part of the story. Unbelievable talent!! I wish you’d be able to make your way to Ohio!!

I actually couldn’t bear to read any other romance novel, feeling that i was cheating on grey or something (haha) Eager to see more of your work, definitely on the top of my list!!

  38. avatar casey3467 says:

i also heard that about people talking of the cast for the upcoming movie and i put together who i think would make an awesome cast. for grace i think cheryl ladd, sela ward or elena pompeo, for elena (mrs robinson) = marg helgenberger or marcia cross, for jose rodrigues either tyler hoechlin or william levy, for ana’s boss @ SIP = chris hemsworth or colin egglesfield, for leila = isabel lucas or emmy rossum, for kate kavanaugh = mia wasikowska or blake lively, for elliot = david giuntoli or joseph morgan, for taylor = martin csorkas or wentworth miller, for gail jones (housekeeper) = ellen barkin or robin wright, for ana’s receptionist friend at work = abbie cornish or ellen page, for christian grey – ian somehalder 1st choice b/c he has shown the ability to portray a tortured soul, sardonic humor and a vast array of emotional qualities with finesse and such endearing realism that it pulls you in to what you’re watching so you can forget the world, most of the actors out there are good but don’t seem to have the ability to portray the depths and complexities of a personality like christian, he’s a survivor, who pulled himself up from nothing (that’s the american dream right there), he may have issues, and darkness that eats him up from inside but he’s strong, passionate, and courageous, an pops out as an alpha male, also mercurial moods and humor, with a joy for life and living it up, and ian can show that. my second choice would be matt bomer, he has the physical attributes to suck in the audience and has shown great promise with white collar, he’s charming, engaging, humorous and keeps you interested but don’t know whether he’d get the whole range as easy, have’nt seen him in anything else. for anastasis steele i’d say jessica stroup or emma watson, either could pull off the young, just started life and is trying to grow into who she wants to be and thinks she is outlook where ana comes from, but ana is also uncertain at times, distrusting of her own instincts at times, strong, spirited, brave, compassionate, witty, and just plain plucky, and to face down someone like christian daily and flourish as she does takes something extra, a steel grit under the innocent demeanor, and courage and determination to keep being with him despite it all, i think emma could pull it off easier, for carrick grey = peter facinelli or noah wyle , for christian’s sister mia = either hailee steinfeld or dakota fanning. anyone else have any suggestions on the others. i can’t wait for this to come out.

  39. avatar casey3467 says:

i read so much, and i never heard of these and that i was astounded about and then i was given a set, I read them in 2 days flat, of course i got no sleep but it was worth it, they are awesome, i wish the lives of the others was hashed out more in future books but that could still happen.

  40. avatar khu5hboo says:

LOVED THE BOOKs i finished them in like 5 days, they were so good……. when is the next one coming out? i really hope its soon:)

  41. avatar Pamilicious says:

    Thanks
The books are amazing, offer hope to young and old love and just are inspirational that such love can exist. I loved the books, writing, imagination, erotica all of it. each page kept me mesmerized.

  44. avatar miasmom says:

For my 50th (sshh) I requested to go to MN for the book signing, but have a meeting demanding attention, so probably going to be living in the moment and fly to somewhere.. And yes Christian’s side would be WOW and what about Ethan & Mia??? Read the trilogy in less than 3 days (2 of which was driving) had to pull over in Albuquerque to buy #2 & 3 after starting in Phoenix…

  45. avatar sdl9107 says:

I absolutely loved the books. I read all three in three days. I could not put them down at all! I am thinking about reading them all over again!!!!

  46. avatar svandusen says:

  47. avatar Charlie Tango says:

Please, please, please come to Chicago!!!

  48. avatar PinkShady says:

I like so many others have I too have now read all 3 books twice and can’t stop! I have gotten everyone I work with to also download or buy the books. At first we tried to share copies but once you finish you can’t wait for te next person to be done. One of my friends had to go to Walmart at 4am because she just couldn’t wait to keep reading. We all have our own sets now:) It has made me look at my 14 year relationship with new eyes. Like others have commented I too see my husband as master of my universe. At least while I’m at home. I have to make lots of decisions for my job so when I’m at home he takes control and I love it! My own Christian!

P.S. please come to the Midwest! Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky maybe? I will travel to meet you!!!

  49. avatar khandi says:

I love your books and if you ever get a chance, you should stop in Florida (prefferably North Florida).
